Plant Sale: Saturday 9th May. With the sun beginning to shine, now is the perfect time to sow seeds and take cuttings. Last year lots of people requested vegetable and herbs plants so please sow lots of these. Please sow and divide lots of flowers/shrubs/trees etc too. If you need, there are some plant pots at the top of the Vicarage driveway.

Day trip to Ely: We are planning a day trip by coach on Tuesday 9th June. Proposed details: leave Christ Church at 9am and return by 8pm. Approx cost £45pp to include: coach travel, guided tour of Cathedral and visit to Oliver Cromwell House. We hope to attend the 5.30pm Sung Evensong at the Cathedral before returning. More details to follow, but please register your interest with Rachel Bennett, as soon as possible.

Bedford Street Angels: Firstly, a thank you to Christ Church for continuing to support Bedford Street Angels. There are four of us in the congregation who are part of the group: June Pedzeni, Rachel Day, Steve Davies and Carolynne Roberts. Secondly, Bedford Street Angels is a local Christian charity attached to a national one and as well as always looking for new active Street Angels, it is currently looking to replace retirees in the role of trustee. For Trustees we are particularly looking for people who would like to help manage the group and can attend several meetings a year (sometimes on zoom) and also for people who have the desire to get involved with organising and helping run a few things during the year, for example, stands at local events such as Bedford River Festival, Elstow May Fayre and street events and maybe representing Bedford Street Angels at meetings or giving talks to churches. In addition we would welcome any other ideas to move us forward, to continue to raise our profile and to help us support the vulnerable in town. If you are interested in learning more, please get in contact with one of the people named above; their photos are on the Mission notice board opposite the pigeon holes in the Hub.
